About
Lios enchim chaniavu, yoeme vempo!
I serve as a Council Member and the Tribal Treasurer for the Texas Band of Yaqui Indians, where I help lead key initiatives in governance, cultural preservation, and community support. I focus on strengthening our tribal operations through clear communication, accessible resources, and professionally crafted documents that support both our members and partner organizations. Protecting Yoeme heritage and expanding opportunities for our families is at the heart of everything I do, and I work to ensure that every project reflects the integrity and resilience of the Texas Band of Yaqui Indians.
I live in La Vernia, Texas, where I enjoy the peace of country life surrounded by my animals and the open land I love. I’m happiest outdoors—camping, hiking, fishing, and hunting whenever I can. I’m also a creative person with many hobbies, including making handmade soap and exploring new skills that keep me grounded and inspired.
Alongside my tribal leadership, I work at one of the State Homes for Veterans in Texas, where I’m honored to support those who served. I’m the proud mother of four children, and I carry my Yoeme identity with deep pride and purpose. You can always reach out to me with any questions, concerns and suggestions !
Here is a photo of my family: My husband, my 4 children, my brother, Tia and cousins. My Tio was taking the pic, hes enrolled too ! Most of us are enrolled with TBYI!

Yoeme proud, always.
