Vision& Connection

We are committed to serving our Tribal Members across Arizona, California, New Mexico, Texas, many other states throughout the U.S. and our Homelands in Sonora. We stay connected, fostering a sense of community and cultural pride among our members. Our mission is to celebrate and preserve our rich heritage while promoting growth and unity.

We recognize the importance of our traditions, languages, and customs. Our initiatives include:

  • Hosting cultural events and festivals that showcase traditional art, music, and dance.

  • Providing educational programs that teach the history and significance of our heritage.

  • Encouraging the use of native languages in our communities to keep our linguistic

    heritage alive and more.

We are committed to our homelands in Sonora, Mexico, supporting the Pueblo of Cocorit Loma de Guamichil and others with school supplies, office equipment, and clothing for children and families.

Our Indigenous peoples do not recognize the barriers created by borders; instead, we build bridges that reconnect us to our relatives, our culture, and our shared future. Through these efforts of our Tribal Members, Administrators and Council, we honor our responsibility to uplift our communities on both sides of the border and preserve the living ties that define us as Yaqui.
